President Trophy Grade-I Day 2: Unbeaten Salman Agha Triple Century Powers Kingsmen

ABBOTTABAD: Salman Ali Agha's unbeaten 300 was the standout performance on the second day of the President Trophy Grade-I, while Khan Research Laboratories, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Pakistan Television also strengthened their positions across the four first-round matches.

At the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Kingsmen Academy declared on 565-7 after 131.1 overs, with Salman Agha completing a triple century from 336 balls. His innings contained 42 fours and six sixes, while Muhammad Suleman made 115 off 219 balls.

IT Solutions made 179-3 in reply, with Mohammad Farooq unbeaten on 107 from 95 deliveries. The right-hander struck 11 fours and five sixes and will continue alongside Mohammad Riazullah, who is yet to score.

KRL also posted more than 500 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, declaring on 547-9 after Imran Rafiq's 129 and Asim Ali Nasir's 87 helped extend their first-innings advantage. Shaheen Afridi added 47 from 49 balls, including three sixes, while Ghulam Haider returned 4-119 for Ghani Glass.

Ghani Glass reached 200-5 by the close, with Haseebullah Khan unbeaten on 50 and Ali Razzaq on 20. KRL had started the day on 371-5, following Fakhar Zaman's 128 from 136 balls on the opening day.

The closest contest came in Rawalpindi, where SNGPL moved three runs ahead of State Bank of Pakistan after two days. SBP, resuming at 42-3, were dismissed for 158, despite an unbeaten 62 from Mubasir Khan.

SNGPL finished on 161-5 in 51 overs. Omair Bin Yousuf was dismissed for 49, while Abdul Samad and Zeid Bin Nadeem were unbeaten on 24 and 17 respectively. Ahmed Safi Abdullah and Khan Zeb took three wickets each for SNGPL.

At the Diamond Cricket Ground, PTV's first innings ended at 400, giving them a 310-run advantage after OGDCL slipped to 90-5. Mohammad Taha's 134 from 234 balls was the main contribution, with Sharoon Siraj adding 92.

Haris Rauf then made the difference with the ball, taking 4-21 from seven overs. Rohail Nazir scored 28 for OGDCL, while Danish Aziz and Mohammad Salman remained unbeaten at five and zero respectively.
