The Pakistan Cricket Board announced its 18-player squad for the upcoming Pak vs Eng T20I series on 2nd May. Led by Babar Azam, the same squad will proceed to play the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 except for 3 players who will be excluded after the 1st T20I against England in Headingley, Leeds.

This Pak vs Eng series features the comeback of fast bowler Haris Rauf who hasn’t played any form of cricket since the last 2 months due to a shoulder injury. Moreover, all-rounder Salman Ali Agha and pacer Hasan Ali will also be returning to the team.

Hasan Ali’s selection is attributed to his extensive experience in bilateral series as well as ICC events. His exceptional performance in the HBL PSL 2024 further solidified his spot in the Pak vs Eng squad.

Salman Ali Agha has established himself as a versatile all-rounder. His aggressive middle-order batting and off-spin bowling adds depth to the bowling as well as the batting departments.

The 2 players who did not make the cut from squad that faced New Zealand are leg-spinner Usama Mir and fast bowler Zaman Khan.
