The IND (w) vs SA (w) test will be played on 28th June at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

India will host South Africa for a one-off women’s test match. This match is part of South Africa’s all-format tour of India that began with a three-match ODI series and will conclude with a three-match T20I series. 

The tour didn’t bring much luck for the Proteas as the three-match ODI series ended 3-0 in favor of the host India.

India (w) vs South Africa (w) test history

India and South Africa have played two test matches against each other in the past, with their last encounter coming in November 2014, where India emerged victorious by an innings and 34 runs.

The only other women's test match between the two countries was contested in 2002, with India winning the match by 10 wickets.

The India women's team last played a test in December 2023 against England and Australia and was triumphant in both. 

South Africa women’s team played their last test match against Australia women’s team on 15 February 2024. Australia women’s team won the match by an innings and 284 runs.

The IND (w) vs SA (w) one-off test match will be played from 28 June till 1st July at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

The MA Chidambaram stadium is the second oldest cricket stadium in the country after Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It has a seating capacity of 38,200 and was established in 1916.
