India Thumps England & Qualifies For The T20 World Cup Final

India Thumps England & Qualifies For The T20 World Cup Final

The IND vs ENG semi-final T20 World Cup 2024 took place on 27th June 2024 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

It was a highly anticipated clash as both teams looked too good on paper. Although the IND vs ENG live stream attracted a lot of traffic, the match wasn’t as exciting as the fans were hoping it to be because India swept away England in what could be rightly called a one-sided match.

Luck was initially on England’s side as Jos Buttler’s team won the toss and chose to bowl first. Like every time, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma didn’t disappoint and scored 57 runs off 39 balls.

He kickstarted the Indian batting innings and was supported by Suryakumar Yadav (47 off 36 balls) and Hardik Pandya (23 off 13 balls).

India managed to set a target of 172 in their 20-overs. England’s Chris Jordan took 3-37 but no other English bowler was as economical.

The target although was a bit high as compared to the normal targets set throughout the T20 World Cup 2024, it was still not impossible to chase.

England batters stepped onto the pitch with an intention to smash the ball out of the stadium and the Indian side out of the World Cup, but could manage to do neither.

Cameos from Buttler, Brook, and Archer helped England cross the 100-run mark, but that was all that they could manage. The two-time T20 World Cup winning side were all out for 103 runs.

The IND vs ENG semi-final ended with India achieving a well-deserved victory and a place in the CWC 2024 final.

India vs South Africa final T20 World Cup 2024 will be played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on 29th June at 7:30 PM (PST).

Both sides will step into the stadium unbeaten and with a morale as high as the sky.

South Africa has qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final for the first time in history,  whereas India qualified for the final after almost a decade.

India will be looking to bag their second T20 World Cup title and South Africa will be looking to grab their first ever Twenty20 World Cup trophy.
