Light-hearted comedy: Hum Tum drama is a must watch
Hum Tum is being praised for being much more than just a lighthearted comedy, even if the show is a huge hit with the general public. The plot revolves around the cliché of hate turning into love as sisters Neha (Ramsha Khan) and Maha (Sarah Khan) grow up with surrounding neighbors and family friends. Sarmad (Junaid Khan) and Adam (Ahad Raza Mir), are brothers who are Neha’s and Maha’s neighbors.
Although Saima made sure that other characters weren't just there to provide light entertainment with loud jokes and oddball characteristics, their love tales are still the main focus of the Ramazan programme.
Hum Tum drama is full of quiet talks about the declining mental health of our family's senior citizens and a lesson about how fathers should divide property among their daughters while they are still living in order to guarantee that they receive their rights in the event that there are no male heirs. One of the most popular subjects of conversation among social media users is the value of friendships and support networks.
Why did Hum Tum drama gain so much popularity?
It's not easy to write comedy and carry out a funny script on screen. When you first listen to Hum Tum, you become engrossed in the show because it delivers in so many different ways. Despite the fact that the topics of most Ramazan special dramas are the same, the author demonstrates that she can include innovative concepts while adhering to the traditional format of these programmes.
Completely Entertaining
The entertainment aspect is paramount when it comes to Ramazan dramas in particular. Hum Tum, like all the other Ramadan specials, is a comedy serial, hence entertainment value is the primary draw for the majority of viewers.
Given that it may be either a smash or a failure, comedy is arguably the hardest genre to master. Hum Tum keeps you interested and amused. With its top-notch material, it makes you chuckle a lot. Both the show's general tone and its subject are spot on. The entertainment value is increased by the flawless casting.
Most significantly, without sacrificing quality, it has enough depth to give something fresh in each and every episode. This time, Saima Akram Chaudhry really outdid herself, and Danish Nawaz handled this drama brilliantly.
Some of the events and characters seem over the top at first, but as the plot develops, you come to appreciate the play's presentation. If you haven't watched this drama yet, do so right now since we can assure you that you'll become addicted to it right away!
Woman Characters Who Are Progressive
The progressive female characters in Hum Tum are the main reason it's the best Ramazan drama we've seen thus far. The female characters are powerful and independent, despite an underlying theme that emphasizes how some parents cherish sons more than daughters. Stereotypes are broken in this drama like no before. Its ladies are bright and self-reliant, unable to do housekeeping and not feeling the need to! In this regard, however, the men exhibit greater independence.
The primary male protagonists Adam and Sarmad, as well as the progressive female leaders of all ages, have a great deal of regard for these women. Adam acknowledges that Neha is a bright young woman despite the fact that they argue frequently. He also opposes the notion that girls are incapable of doing things that men can accomplish, or that having a boy is a need. Tammana Nani, too, is an advocate of financial freedom.
Exceptional Characterizations
A script's ability to work or fail is largely dependent on its characters. Each of the many characters in Hum Tum drama has something fresh and endearing about them. All of these characters, whether they are the male protagonists or the strong female leads like Maha, Neha, Milli, or Sasha, offer something fresh to the story.
The older characters in this play, such as Daddu and Tamana Nani, are what really make it stand out. They are more than just the story's elderly parents—they are distinct individuals with lives and goals of their own.
Each of them has goals and a career of their own. They are vibrant and challenge the notion that one should cease experiencing life to the fullest at a particular age. These characters possess strength comparable to that of the majority of the main cast.
The author has effectively defied a great deal of stereotypes, but she has done it while maintaining the highest level of realism. Although there are a few plainly ridiculous comedic moments, the characterizations are spot-on throughout.
Couples with unique chemistry
The on-screen couplings and the novel casting in general make Hum Tum a compelling drama that is not to be missed. With the exception of the casting, you find yourself truly enjoying the sequences involving at least one of these couples, Neha and Sarmad, because of their excellent interactions.
On-screen, Sarah Khan and Junaid Khan are a fantastic duo. They have both done a fantastic job portraying their different roles. Although Adam and Neha resemble a lot of other on-screen couples from earlier Ramadan specials, the casting is unquestionably spot-on. Although Adam in particular occasionally goes too far, he is a likable character since he has an underlying respect for Neha's brilliance.
Their fathers never gave them the respect they deserved, which adds to their intriguing and healthy dynamics. These two tracks have such excellent lyrics. Although I'm sure a lot of folks are cheering for Nani and Daddu as well, there hasn't been any action between them as of now.
