ICC Champions Trophy 2025: National Stadium Karachi Set To Have A Massive Makeover

Karachi’s National Bank Stadium is undergoing major construction in order to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

A new design for the stadium has been unveiled. The National Stadium construction process will take place in two phases. Phase 1 will be completed before the ICC event and phase 2 will finish after the conclusion of the mega event.

The new design consists of a new building to be constructed directly in front of the main stadium. This new structure will house VIP boxes, a gallery, media boxes, and family boxes for players. Additionally, the two dressing rooms may be relocated to this new building.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given USD 70 million to Pakistan in order to prepare for the Champions Trophy 2025.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has approved the renovation of stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. The Pakistan Cricket Board has allocated Rs12.80 billion for these infrastructure improvements.

The CT25 matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and National Stadium in Karachi from 19 February to 9 March 2025.

Later this month, the National Stadium in Karachi is set to host the PAK vs BAN 2nd test match. However, no spectators will be allowed inside the stadium due to ongoing construction work.
