PAK vs BAN Karachi Test: Shocking Decision Leaves Fans Locked Out
The PAK vs BAN two match test series is scheduled to take place from 21st August till 3rd September 2024.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that spectators will not be allowed inside the stadium during the BAN vs PAK 2nd test match at the National Stadium in Karachi.
"In light of ongoing construction work at the National Bank Stadium as part of preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made the difficult decision to hold the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, scheduled from 30 August to 3 September, without spectators in attendance," the PCB said.
This decision came as a huge shock to the Pakistani cricket fans as they were really looking forward to watching this high intensity match in the stadium.
The Bangladeshi Tigers will be touring Pakistan after a long break of 4.5 years. The PAK vs BAN Test series will form part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship.
The Bangladesh tour of Pakistan will be team Pakistan’s first international commitment after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Pakistan is set to host the ICC Champions Trophy in February-March 2025 and the construction work at the National Stadium Karachi is being done for that.
PCB has allocated approximately 17 billion rupees for the renovation of stadiums in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi ahead of the marquee event.
The BAN vs PAK 2nd test match will be played from 30 Aug till 3 Sep. The PAK vs BAN series will commence on 21st August at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
