PAK vs ENG 2nd test: Another Disgraceful Batting Display

PAK vs ENG 2nd test: Another Disgraceful Batting Display

The PAK vs ENG 2nd test is a must win match for the Men in Green if they want to win or at least level the series.

The 1st test was easily won by England by an innings and 47 runs and the Pakistan team suffered from another humiliating defeat on their home ground.

Pakistan test team’s continuous abysmal performance has raised several questions regarding the players’ and team management’s credibility.

With the World Test Championship 2023-25 underway, it’s more important than ever for the Pakistan team to win their test matches if they want to qualify for the finals.

In the ENG vs PAK 2nd test match, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Only Saim Ayub, Kamran Ghulam, and Mohammad Rizwan were the only three batsmen who managed to score well. After a series of ups and downs, the hosts finally reached a total of 366.

In response, the England team started off quite well, with Ben Duckett scoring 114 runs. However, soon after Duckett’s dismissal, Pakistan bowler Sajid Khan wreaked havoc and didn’t let a single English batsman settle down.

The Englishmen were all out for 291, leaving Pakistan with a lead of 75 runs.

Pakistan’s 2nd innings was the epitome of a horrible batting display. Apart from Salman Ali Agha, no other batsman was able to get past the 35-runs mark.

As expected, the hosts collapsed after putting up a meager score of 221 runs, giving England a target of 297 to win the Pak vs Eng 2nd test.

The tourists kickstarted their 2nd innings in the last session of Pakistan vs England 2nd test day 3.

Sajid Khan removed the centurion Ben Duckett on 0 runs, whereas Noman Ali dismissed Zak Crawley. England suffered 2 early setbacks, but with Joe Root still on the crease, they can easily make a comeback on PAK vs ENG 2nd test day 4.

England 36/2 at the end of day 3.
