Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test Live Score Update

4:15 PM: Pakistan innings declared at 448/6. Rizwan remained unbeaten on 171. 

3:15 PM: Mehidy Hasan removes Saud Shakeel to give Bangladesh a much-needed breakthrough. Saud played a spectacular knock of 141 runs. Pakistan 367/5. 

2:15 PM: Pakistan stands tall at 342/4. Saud (134) and Rizwan (123) have completely turned the game in Pakistan's favor. The Bangladeshi bowlers are yet to take a wicket. 

1:10 PM: The 2nd session ot the day has commenced and Pakistan is continuing its lead. The Men in Green have scored 284/4. Rizwan made his 3rd Test century in just 142 balls. Bangladesh has now switched to spin bowling with Shakib and Miraz.

12 PM: The 1st session of day 2 is over and it's time for lunch! Pakistan has remained wicketless and reached a comfortable score of 256/4. Rizwan stands at 89 and Saud at 86. 

11:45 AM: 64 overs have been bowled and Pakistan are now at 243/4. Rizwan and Saud now have a 100-run partnership and aim to put a comprehensive 1st innings total. 

10:45 AM: Pakistan is surely on the top of this game as they are now 195/4. Rizwan scores a fifty in just 64 balls and Saud's pacing towards scoring a hundred.

10 AM: Rizwan and Saud look well-settled as Pakistan starts 1st test day 2 with a score of 158/4. Bangladesh will be hoping to take a few early wickets to get their momentum back. 

Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st test day 2: 

6:30 PM: Umpires have called it stumps due to bad lighting. Pakistan are now at 158/4, thanks to Saim and Saud's brilliant partnership. Rizwan (24) and Saud (57) will be at the crease when the play begins tomorrow. 

5:45 PM: Hasan Mahmud strikes again and sends star batter Saim Ayub back to the pavillion after an exceptional 56-runs innings. Pakistan - 115/4. 

5:40 PM: With just 20 minutes left in designated finish time, Pakistan have managed to score 114/3, thanks to Saim & Saud's 100-run partnership. 31 overs have been bowled and it's time for drinks break!

4:40 PM: 21 overs have been bowled and Pakistan is 81/3. Saim Ayub is looking strong at 42 and is well-supported by Saud Shakeel (28). 

3:50 PM: Once again, the Pakistan batting lineup has started collapsing. After 12.1 overs, Pakistan have only made 35 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Shoriful took the wickets of Shan and Babar, whereas H. Mahmud took the wicket of Abdullah. 

Live update: Bangladesh have won the toss and decided to bowl first in the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st test match. 

The beginning of Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test was delayed due to overnight rain in Rawalpindi.

Fortunately, the sky has now cleared up and the highly anticipated Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test is set to begin at 2:30 PM (PST). 

According to the revised playing conditions, 48 overs will be bowled on the first day. The tea break will be taken at 4:20 PM while the second and last session will run from 4:40 PM to 6:00 PM.

The day can be extended by 30 minutes to accommodate the completion of 48 overs.

The Pakistan vs Bangladesh test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship and will take place from 21st August till 3rd September. 

Initially, the PAK vs BAN 1st test was scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi and the 2nd test was set to be played in Karachi, but due to ongoing construction work at the National Stadium in Karachi, the PCB has also moved the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd test to Rawalpindi. 

Pakistan are currently ranked sixth in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25. They have played two away series in the championship, winning 2-0 against Sri Lanka and losing 3-0 to Australia.

Pakistan Cricket Team is set to have a busy cricket season as they will be playing 9 test matches from August 2024 to January 2025. 

Seven of these Test matches will be played at home, including two against Bangladesh, three against England in October and two against West Indies in January next year.

The two away Test matches are against South Africa, which will be played in December/January.

The Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st test match will be Shan Masood’s first time leading the team on his home ground. 

Moreover, the PAK vs BAN test series will also be Pakistan’s head coach Jason Gillespie’s 1st international task since his appointment.
