PCB Chairman Happy With CT25 Preparations; Gives No Remark On Pak vs Aus Series

PCB Chairman Happy With CT25 Preparations; Gives No Remark On Pak vs Aus Series

In the midst of another Pakistan team batting collapse, the PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has expressed his satisfaction with the Gaddafi Stadium upgradation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025

The Gaddafi Stadium upgradation project is approximately 50% complete, with significant progress observed in the construction of enclosures and the main building floors.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to take place from February-March, however, Pakistan’s arch-rival and neighbor India’s participation in the tournament is quite uncertain.

CT25 preps may be going on as per the Chairman’s expectations, but if there’s one thing that isn’t going according to the plan is the Pakistan team’s performance.

In the Pakistan vs Australia 1st ODI, Australia won the toss and chose to bowl first. The entire Pakistan batting lineup collapsed after giving the home team a meager target of 204 runs only.

Newly appointed skipper Mohammad Rizwan was the highest scoring batsman of the day with his 44 runs. Apart from Naseem and Babar, no other player could get past the 30-run mark, leaving the team in turmoil in the very 1st match of the series.

But no matter what happens on the field, at least the Chairman is satisfied with all that’s happening off the field.

“Our goal is to have Gaddafi Stadium ready ahead of the Champions Trophy, meeting international standards,” stated Mohsin Naqvi. “We’re enhancing facilities for players and cricket fans alike.”

Is Mohsin Naqvi willingly not talking about the national team’s performance or is it an unintentional oversight?
