Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently the no.1 ICC test bowler, has been nothing but brilliant, awe-inspiring, and mind-blowing. His skills have made him an irreplaceable and inescapable part of India’s bowling lineup.

It’s highly likely that Jasprit Bumrah is the only bowler in the entire world who hadn’t conceded a six in the test format for the last three years.

But, on December 26th, things changed when Australian teen debutant Sam Konstas not only played a 60-run fiery knock on his maiden call, but he also hit Bumrah for two sixes, the only batsman to do so in the last three years.

During the 7th over of the AUS vs IND 4th Test, Sam Konstas reverse scooped Bumrah over deep third for a six, startling all those watching. Before this, the last time Bumrah conceded a six was on January 7, 2021.

The 19-year-old hit two sixes in his 60 off 65 balls, both of which were against Bumrah. He became the second youngest Australian to score a fifty after Ian Craig, who scored a half-century at the age of 17 years against South Africa in 1953.

Overall, Sam Konstas 34 runs on the 33 balls bowled by Jasprit Bumrah, hitting the current top ranked ICC test bowler for 4 fours and 2 maximums.

The youngster looked like the epitome of confidence when he said, “I’ll look to keep targeting him. Hopefully he might come back on,” during a mid-innings interview.
