Younis Khan Makes A Special Request To Indian Star Virat Kohli

Younis Khan Makes A Special Request To Indian Star Virat Kohli

Team India may create a hurdle in Pakistan’s first chance of hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Men In Blue will probably not travel to Pakistan to participate in the upcoming Champions Trophy citing political instability as the primary reason for their decision.

The last bilateral series between these cricket arch-rivals was played more than a decade ago in 2013. Although Pakistan has traveled to India to participate in ICC tournaments, unfortunately, team India hasn’t returned the favor.

Pakistan was meant to host the complete Asia Cup 2023 but due to India not traveling to Pakistan, the tournament was conducted in a hybrid model with all of India’s contests taking place in Sri Lanka.

For Champions Trophy 2025, the ICC could adopt the same model if India refuses to travel to Pakistan once again.

Responding to the ongoing rumors, former Pakistan T20 World Cup winning captain Younis Khan has urged star batsman Virat Kohli and other Indian players to come play in Pakistan.

India’s last tour to Pakistan was in 2006, two years before Kohli made his international cricket debut.

The captain of the Pakistan side for the WCL 2024 said: “Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. It is our wish. The only thing left in his career is to play in Pakistan and perform.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has left it to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to convince India to come to Pakistan.
