Ahmad Shahzad Shares His Disapproval of The PAK vs ENG 1st Test Squad

Former batsman Ahmed Shahzad has once again launched an attack against the Pakistan Cricket Board and Chief Selector Mohammad Yousuf. 

Shahzad’s main point of concern was Yousuf not selecting Kamran Ghulam for the upcoming PAK vs ENG 1st test squad. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the Men in Green’s official squad for the Pakistan vs England 1st test, scheduled to take place in Multan from 7th-11th October. 

Ahmed expressed his frustration on his YouTube channel. He accused Mohammad Yousuf of disregarding Kamran Ghulam’s exceptional form and performance, including two centuries in the ongoing Champions Cup 2024. 

Moreover, Shahzad didn’t shy away from criticizing PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi for his comments about a ‘surgery’ in the Pakistan cricket team following their humiliating exit from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. 

Labeling the Champions One-Day Cup as the "Dhoka Cup" (Fraud Cup), he raised questions over the credibility of the tournament and the selection process for the national team. 

"Kamran Ghulam has once again been ignored, and Mohammad Yousaf did not include him in Pakistan’s 15-member squad. Now let's look back—this is the same team that just returned after losing the World Cup without even qualifying, the same team that lost to the USA, the same team that lost two Tests against Bangladesh, and for the first time in history, got whitewashed," Shehzad said.

"After all these things, it was said that a "surgery" would take place, but it didn't. After all this, they said, "We don't have the tools." Then, after everything, they dropped another bombshell in the name of the "Dhoka Cup [Champions Cup]" and said the performers from this "Dhoka Cup" would be included. Just wait and see—they'll bring in five players and line them up behind each other. You’ll see how this AI system works," he added.

Ahmed Shahzad didn’t seem to be happy with the inclusion of Aamer Jamal and Shaheen Afridi. He stated that both of these players lack complete physical fitness. 

He added that Mohammad Ali, Kamran Ghulam, and Sahibzada Farhan deserved to be included in the squad owing to their outstanding performances in the domestic circuit. 

The video didn’t end here. Ahmed Shahzad openly attacked Mohammad Yousuf, his choices, his position, and authority. 

Concluding his fiery remarks, Shehzad urged domestic players to abandon their hopes of making the national team and change their profession, citing an unfair selection process.
