Noman Ali Shines Bright As Pakistan Claims A Much Needed Victory

Noman Ali Shines Bright As Pakistan Claims A Much Needed Victory

Noman Ali, the 38-year-old spinner has done what many renowned players couldn’t do for the Men in Green.

What felt like a never ending losing phase for Pakistan has finally come to an end, thanks to Noman Ali’s exceptional bowling.

The 38-year-old left arm orthodox bowler claimed 8 wickets in the PAK vs ENG 2nd test (2nd innings), crumbling the English batting line up with his maiden 10-wicket haul.

The hosts gave the tourists a target of 297 in response to which the whole English team collapsed after scoring just 144 runs.

Pakistan won the Pakistan vs England 2nd test by 152 runs.

Sajid Khan, another right-arm off break bowler also assisted Noman Ali in claiming this much-needed victory.

Sajid was included in the squad after the selection committee chose to drop Babar, Shaheen, & Naseem from the PAK vs ENG 2nd test squad

The hosts got a brilliant start as Sajid Khan dismissed Ben Duckett, who scored a century in the first innings, on the third ball of the innings. Meanwhile, Zak Crawley (3) fell prey to Noman Ali with 11 runs on the board.

Despite winning the contest, the Pakistan team really needs to take a deep look at their batting situation.

Apart from Salman Ali Agha, there was no single Pakistani batsman who scored well in both innings of the game.

The hosts managed to score 366 in the first innings, thanks to Kamran Ghulam’s 118 runs knock and Saim Ayub’s 77 runs innings.

In the second innings, the entire team collapsed after just scoring 221 runs.

Although Noman Ali and Sajid Khan turned the match in Pakistan’s favor, a lot of improvement is still needed in the batting department.
