Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony Schedule, Where To Watch Live

The Paris 2024 Olympics will begin with a massive opening ceremony on 26th July, Friday, on the river Seine. The ceremony will commence at 10:30 PM (PST). 

For the first time in the history of the Olympics, the opening ceremony of the event is not being held at a stadium. 

Approximately 10,500 athletes will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics which will continue till 11th August.

The traditional Parade of Nations will take place along the 6 km stretch of River Seine. It will begin at Austerlitz Bridge and culminate at Trocadéro, in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Almost a hundred boats will carry 10,000+ athletes and other important personalities during the Parade of Nations.

Approximately 3000 performers will entertain the participants during the ceremony. Moreover, the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony will display the history and culture of Paris and France. 

Seven athletes from Pakistan are set to take part in the 2024 summer Olympics. This mega event will feature competition across 32 disciplines. A 100-meter race between men and women athletes will also be a part of this Olympics season. 

The fans would be interested to know if Italy’s Lamont Jacob would be able to grab the title once again after former Jamaican star Usain Bolt’s retirement from the competition. 

In the women’s competition, will Jamaican Shelly-Ann-Fraser become the champion of the 100-meter race once again? 

According to the organizing committee, 75000 soldiers have been instructed to provide security to the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony. 

To reduce the chances of a possible drone attack, the government of France has reduced the number of spectators to half of what it used to be. 

Earlier this month, the President of France Emmanuel Macron stated that if security threats for the 2024 summer Olympics will increase, then the entire event could be conducted in an enclosed stadium. 

To ensure proper security, police, army, guards, and all other types of security personnel have been employed by the government. 

Moreover, roads and metro stations in close vicinity to the event venues have been closed to further strengthen the security. 

The management and government has issued a vast QR code system for the city residents that may need to travel to river Seine or its islands. 44,000 roadblocks have been placed on the roads going towards river Seine. 

Lastly, the management has ensured that the security measures for the Paris 2024 Olympics are tight and will protect both the athletes and the audiences to the max. 

The Paris 2024 Olympics will last from 26th July till 11th August. The event will feature competition across 32 disciplines.
