AUS vs PAK 1st T20 Highlights: Australia Leading The Series 1-0

On 14th November, Australia won the Pak vs Aus 1st T20I at The Gabba in Brisbane. 

The hosts’ intent became clear when they played such exceptional cricket in the first game of this three-match T20I series. 

Although rain and thunder significantly reduced the chances of the match taking place at all, but with some luck, a seven over per side game was successfully played. 

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Aussies got going from the very first ball, but the Pakistani fast bowlers created a dent or two at the very right time. 

Despite Shaheen, Naseem, and Haris’ exceptional bowling efforts, the hosts managed to make a whopping score of 93 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their 7 overs. 

In response, the Pakistani innings were opened by Sahibzada Farhan and skipper Mohammad Rizwan. 

Unfortunately and expectedly, the Men in Green couldn’t control their nerves and started throwing their wickets left, right, and center. 

This resulted in a disastrous outcome for the tourists and the match ended with Australia winning by 29 runs. 

A victory would have surely lifted the spirits of the team. Nevertheless, let’s hope for the best and watch the Pak vs Aus 2nd T20 on 16th November only on tapmad!
