M. Rizwan and Naseem Shah Excluded From Pak vs Aus 3rd T20 Squad

Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s newest white-ball captain will not be a part of the PAK vs AUS 3rd T20I. Agha Salman will take on the captaincy role on Rizwan’s behalf. 

Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed the playing XI for the men's team's upcoming third T20I against Australia at Bellerive Oval in Hobart. 

As Australia has already claimed the series, the team management has decided to rest Mohammad Rizwan. Agha Salman was recently named as Rizwan's deputy in white-ball cricket and this game will mark his captaincy debut for Pakistan. 

Meanwhile, the tourists have excluded Naseem Shah from the playing XI, replacing him with left-arm pacer Jahandad Khan. 

After winning the ODI series 2-1, the tourists suffered from a crushing defeat in the Pakistan vs Australia 1st and 2nd T20I. 

Rain and thunder caused interference in the 1st T20 and changed the game to a seven-over per side match. 

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australia leveraged this to their utmost benefit and gave the tourists a target of 94 runs in just 7 overs. 

In response, the Men in Green could only manage to score 64 with the loss of 9 wickets in their 7 overs. 

The 2nd match of the T20 series also presented the same picture. Shaheens struggled against the Kangaroos and eventually lost by 13 runs. 

Compared to the 1st match, the Men in Green had a fighting chance in the second game, thanks to Usman and Irfan Khan’s valuable knocks.
